Josh Stewart
Technical Assistance Advisor
Josh Stewart, Ph.D., is an education researcher who helps school systems turn data into everyday decisions that support students and teachers. He runs Rocky Mountain Research & Strategy, where he has led projects on math learning, student well-being, and how school systems build their own R&D skillset. His work includes IES- and REL-funded studies and tools such as the Program Evaluation Toolkit and a guide to conducting needs assessments for American Indian students, and he is certified in What Works Clearinghouse design standards. A former senior researcher at national firms including Mathematica and Marzano Research, Josh is known for translating complex methods into clear, usable ideas for educators and leaders. When he’s not working, he teaches bonsai and enjoys the outdoors with his family in Colorado.
