Debbra Lindo

Superintendent in Residence

Dr. Debbra Lindo was the Superintendent in Residence for the EF+Math Program and was Chair of EF+Math's Educator Leadership Council. She served on the EF+Math Executive Team from 2019–2025.

Lindo has been a public high school English and social studies teacher, school principal in both urban and suburban settings, area executive officer, superintendent, executive vice president of educational services for a startup software company, and CEO of a national nonprofit. All of these roles gave her perspective on what it takes for every student to achieve at high levels.

During her time as a high school principal in Oakland Unified School District, Lindo led a small schools co-location effort that doubled her school’s graduation rates. As CEO of College Track, a college completion program that removes academic, financial, and social-emotional barriers to students’ earning a college degree, she scaled the organization nationally. Lindo subsequently led all secondary schools in the Palo Alto Unified School District, where she facilitated a campaign to ensure all students earned the credits required for admission to California colleges and universities. She has led several Full Service Community School initiatives that resulted in enduring partnerships to provide direct health and social services to students and families. She earned a B.A. in U.S. history from Mills College, an M.A. and teaching credential from Stanford University, and a doctorate in educational leadership from St. Mary’s College of California. She is currently superintendent emerita of Emery Unified School District in Emeryville, California.
