Karin Lange

Inclusive R&D Advisor

Karin Lange is an Inclusive R&D Advisor for the EF+Math Program. She previously served as the EF+Math Educator Co-Design Manager, where she led educator engagement strategy for the team. Before joining the EF+Math team, she was the Assistant Director for Math Programs at the Center for Science and Math Education at Loyola University Chicago, where she developed programs and partnerships to improve math education using knowledge of both math research and practice. Lange served as a co-principal investigator on numerous grants that created partnerships among educators and researchers in math and STEM education focused on high quality instruction, professional development and equity in grades K–14. Prior to her work at Loyola University Chicago, Lange served as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for the School District of Beloit in Wisconsin. Lange began her career as a math teacher in Camden, New Jersey, and also served as an instructional coach and professional development leader in Philadelphia schools. She earned her EdD in Curriculum, Instruction and Technology in Education with a focus on Math Education from Temple University, where her research focused on the use of correct and incorrect examples in learning algebra, mathematical flexibility and the benefits of research partnerships on instructional change in math classrooms.
