Dr. Dana Miller-Cotto was the founding Research Scientist for the EF+Math Program from 2019-2020 and served as a scientific advisor from 2024-2025. She was also a co-investigator on the Our Mathematical World project.
Miller-Cotto is an assistant professor at UC Berkeley’s School of Education. Her research focuses on how and why executive functions, or the ability to regulate and control actions and cognitions, are related to mathematics skills with the goal of designing learning materials for students along all ability levels. She is also interested in what contextual factors explain differences in executive function by ethnicity/race.
